Brightbar JSON Viewer is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it's used, and how it's stored.
Brightbar JSON Viewer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
chrome.storage.local: how many documents it has shown, on how many days, and whether you have answered the request. It holds nothing about the documents themselves and never leaves your device. When you hover the mouse over an image URL inside a JSON document, the viewer shows a thumbnail by loading that image from its URL — the same request your browser would make if you opened the link. The request goes from your browser directly to that address, without a referrer. Brightbar JSON Viewer does not send anything to it or anywhere else, and it never contacts any server of its own. You can turn image previews off on the extension's options page.
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. No data is stored on external servers.
This extension does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated policy will be posted here and the "last updated" date will be revised. Significant changes will be noted in the extension's changelog.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, please file an issue on the extension's support page.
