Privacy Policy — Brightbar DevTools

Data Collection
Brightbar DevTools does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All inspection and analysis is performed locally in your browser.
Permissions Explained
- activeTab: Used to inspect elements on the page you're currently viewing when you activate a tool.
- storage: Used to save your preferences (theme, tool settings) locally on your device, and a small counter so that the extension asks for a store review at most once, and only after real use: how many times a tool did its job, on how many days, and whether you have answered the request. The counter holds nothing about the pages you inspect and never leaves your device.
- scripting: Used to inject the inspector overlay and info panel when you activate inspection tools.
What the extension does NOT do
- Does not collect analytics or usage data (the review counter above stays on your device)
- Does not use cookies or tracking pixels
- Does not transmit any data to external servers
- Does not access your browsing history
- Does not modify page content (read-only inspection)
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using the browser's storage API. No data is stored on external servers.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated policy will be posted here and the "last updated" date will be revised.
